Do we seriously need to make time?

So I've been reading this interesting book called "Make Time" by Jake Knapp and JZ and it fascinates me so much that I can't get it out of my head and now here I'm sitting on my chair penning this blog. I wanted to share about this because it's really amazing and I hope you'd love it. If you don't like my blogs it's okay, feel free to skip and continue with whatever floats your boat. But for those who love to be productive in life, I'd suggest you to please go check it out "Make Time", it's worth it.

I'm not going to give any advice like things you need to do or suppose to do and things you shouldn't probably be doing, that's entirely upto you. I'm here just to break down what Jake and JZ tried to convey their message after lot's of research.

If we take a look little closer to our daily life we often see us hanging around somewhere, disappointed somehow and whenever you go to sleep at night, you feel not so satisfied with what you've done throughout the day. It's not for everyone, many of you have no regrets in your everyday life but people like me who are so unorganised and messed up, everything we do really pissed us off. You might wanted to finish your assignment and start your preparation for exams that are coming up in few weeks but you're still scrolling on instagram. Deep down you knew what you're doing isn't going to help you but then again you're totally out of control. It just happens by default. We're all living in a world of default, things are getting done on it's own without us having to control our own life. It was a simple example and I bet there are tons of situation like this, if not similar then some way or the other, we're not controlling our own life. When we can't get out of this loop of default world, we often regrets at the end of the day because we had done nothing that was in our will. You might want to help your mom in the kitchen, or visit your old granny, or finish the topic that you were about to start but then caught up in an infinity loop. Make Time taught me to get out of this loop and become more organized. I am so happy that I came across this book and I thank a million time to Jake and JZ for writing this book.

Now you might be wondering how you're going to make your life more organized, according to Jake and JZ these 4 tips are the things you should focus on but then again it works for some people and doesn't work for some, not all that have been given actually works for even Jake and JZ. First thing first, you gotta be making Highlights, something you prioritise more than anything else. You have to make this lists of highlights you're going to do in a day or in a week. For example, I gotta complete this biochemistry that I've been trying to complete, now this is my main priority so this becomes my highlight number one and other things like finish an informative book or a fictional story book that I've recently started, and then again writing my blogs or helping mom or visiting friends etc. Make a list and don't compromise until something you have to prioritise more comes up. Say for instance if your granny is sick then obviously you'd prioritise your granny over your incomplete biochemistry aite? And the next thing the book talks about is to be in a zone and keep a barrier from your distraction. We often find ourselves distracted from things we're supposed to do, say for instance you've to do the laundry but then you're distracted by a Netflix series, here's how you keep a barrier from distraction, cut off your Netflix subscription so you'd be more focused and be more productive. It's not upto anyone else, it's completely upto you to make your own time. There's nothing like you don't get time, you always get time, you could compromise any unproductive work and do what you gotta do but you're more distracted and that's where you have to keep this barrier. The next thing the book talk about is to energise your body or caffeinate yourself so you won't be tired and lazy. It's not that you should give up on your sleep, I'm working on that, I'm getting lesser sleep these days but atleast 6-7 hours of sleep is necessary to energise your mind and body. Work out, go to the woods eat healthy and be more productive. The last thing that Jake and JZ talks about is reflect whatever you do, make notes and track yourself, your improvement and weakness, work hard on the weakness and live a productive life. Some people would find me cringe but that's okay, I'm not some kind of Sandeep Maheshwari giving life lessons to you but I'm talking about what changed my life and how Make Time influenced me to live a productive life. I wished I read this earlier but I've no regrets. You are also not so late to start making your time.
